Tips for Trim Your Dog's Nails

Take the first leg in his hand and gently remove dirt from around the nail.

Look for the "fast" on the money - you want to avoid this. If you can not see the living, stop cutting at the point where the nail begins to curve downward.

Shorten gradually the nail, working at a time. Using dog grooming tools can be useful.

If you accidentally cut the quick, do not panic! It will bleed profusely, but it looks worse than it is. Using a cotton swab, apply some clotting powder to the end of the nail and press firmly against for about two minutes.

Repeat the process of cutting nails and do not forget the Rams placed inside the front and / or hind legs. (Some dogs have no spurs, so if you do not see any, do not worry, it just means they have less to cut the nails!)
Dog grooming may seem a bit complicated, especially at first. But it's really simple and painless.
