Ear Infection of Dog

If your dog already has signs of an ear infection, you should seek veterinary care. Why do this instead of trying to treat for free at home? You do not know the cause: Many ear problems are the result of extraneous materials such as grass seeds, dirt, or even ear mites. Once the infection is present preventive treatments such as cleaning is not completely clear up the problem (although they do have a place). Results: the problem persists or backward.

Ear infections are very painful *: if you have had one, who knows this: many have open wounds infected ear inside the ear and are very painful: an ear cleaning solution will hurt your dog, and you will have problems with treatment as your dog will resist your attempt to access the hearing later. There may be complications, such as a ruptured eardrum, deep infections, and ear canal with scarring, infections of the middle or inner ear, which require careful and extra: you can not evaluate this, and neglecting or abusing these problems can cause external incurable otitis may require surgery to remove the ear canal.

If you have to search the Web, you probably do not know much more about the health of the dog or animal medicine (no shame in this, we have experts in all fields: you can not be one in all of them): this means that you will not be able to assess the severity of the problem of your dog, the safety of proposed treatments, or even know when the problem is resolved. Ear infections often take a week or more to try: most people are looking for a quick solution and therefore only partially address the problem, resulting in recurrent infection and chronic damage to the ear (this is the case also with the use of ear drops from the vet).

When you see your veterinarian for your dog, you have one year of training and experience to help them evaluate the problem, really make an accurate diagnosis (this step is often missing in internet "how to deal with the" suggestions), identify complications and the development of a safe and effective treatment that will also give your dog some relief from pain and itching. There is no home remedy that will thoroughly evaluate these things.
