Indian Dog Breeds


Caravan of dog:
The Afghans, Mongols, Persians and Arabs brought many hounds, such as Afghanistan and the Saluki when it came to India. The dog was probably Caravan their ancestry to these dogs. They are so called because he used to travel with the caravans from one place to another.

The Chippiparai is a hunting dog native to southern India in particular the district of Thanjavur.
